STIs STIs

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections you can get from sexual contact. STIs can be serious, sometimes painful, and may cause damage to sexual organs.

STI Services at Bridger Clinic
Bridger Clinic provides testing and treatment for STIs to women and men. All services are confidential and safe. It is important to be checked as soon as you suspect an infection, change partners, or notice any of the following:

unusual discharge from the vagina, penis or rectum

pain or burning during urination or intercourse

pain in the abdomen, testicles or buttocks

blisters, open sores, warts, rash or swelling
in or around the genital or anal areas or mouth

persistent flu-like symptoms.

Preventing STI Infection
Choosing abstinence or having sex with one uninfected partner are the best ways of preventing STI infection. Using a latex or polyurethane condom reduces your risk of becoming infected with an STI. Having oral sex, anal sex, and vaginal sex puts you at risk for STIs.
