So What is Peer Education Anyway?
Teen Peer Education offers an ongoing opportunity to receive accurate sex education and relationship information at weekly training meetings. These meetings prepare peer educators to lead learning activities about abstinence, decision making, and pregnancy and STI prevention for teens in area schools and youth serving agencies.
The mission of a Peer Educator is to help friends, classmates, and other peers select and maintain a pattern of healthy choices. They are availabe for classroom teaching and to answer questions on an informal basis from peers. Confidentiality is always honored.
